- Personal preferences - our travel managers are flexible and diligent when it comes to personal preferences for business travel. Individual requests regarding mini bars in hotel rooms, phone service availability and flexible payment options, including chargeback facility, where a credit card is not available can be easily organised.
Best practice air travel
From experience we know there are a number of issues when it comes to air travel to regional destinations. One of the biggest challenges is that smaller aircraft are used on most regional routes, which means availability can be limited during peak times or for last minute bookings.
Because of this we recommend our clients book and pay for their airfares as early as possible. Our research indicates travellers will pay almost $1000 more for a return ticket from Cairns to any of the regional destinations at Cape York if they book last minute, rather than two or more weeks in advance.
Our travel managers will also make it their business to know which companies or travellers require flexible tickets for their air travel and will advise which airlines will hold air credit.
In addition, Corporate Traveller has long-established supplier relations with carriers that service remote locations such as Cairns-based airline Skytrans. Our close working relationships with suppliers gives businesses a competitive edge on their air travel.
We will also:
- Source the best available travel route based on route directness, cost of fares, company travel policies and individual booking requirements.
- Align your charter flight arrival time with scheduled departure times.
- Book charter flights for group travellers to drive cost efficiencies.
- Minimise travel time for one-way itineraries using best travel options for itineraries with fly, drive or charter components.
Accommodation experience
Few regional hotels will agree to contract rates therefore it is essential clients have an expert on board like Corporate Traveller, which has the negotiating experience and strength to secure travellers the most competitive hotel rates. In many cases, we can also make changes to accommodation bookings at the last minute without penalty because of the regularity of our bookings and our relationships with suppliers. We are often also able to cancel on short notice.
We will also:
- Use our corporate negotiated rates to source the most competitive deals
- Book the most appropriate accommodation in regional areas to suit individual needs.
- Confirm client preferences for share facilities.
- Advise of onsite restaurant or if there is 24-hour room-service.
- Set up chargeback facilities at properties for client expenses. Car hire that drives savings: Corporate Traveller understands the challenges posed by ground travel in regional and metropolitan areas. As such we will advise clients about the availability of car hire in each location you're travelling to. We will also help you:
- Coordinate one-way car hire if required
- Modify car hire arrangements to suit individual requests.
- Check fleet availability to ensure 4WD vehicles are available when required.
- Advise clients on what vehicle types are needed eg dual cab or a single cab 4WD ute, troop carrier or standard type of 4WD or other type of vehicle.
- Streamline connections between commercial flights and car hire.
- Arrange transfer between charter airport and commercial airport.
