Tokyo has launched a new tourism campaign to raise its international profile ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics/Paralympics.
The city's Metropolitan Government has designed the Tokyo Brand Promotion Campaign in an attempt to promote the Japanese capital's ‘brand'. It centres on "& TOKYO," a new logo and slogan that embodies the concept of the city as a place that "promises all kinds of fun by constantly generating new styles while bringing tradition and innovation together."
The campaign aims to spread the underlying message to the world that Tokyo is a diverse city full of opportunity to network and innovate. Various words or corporate logos can be inserted before the "&" so that it can be used widely by local residents, private businesses, and foreign tourists.
