Our game plan for a more sustainable future
Sustainability. It’s more than just a buzzword, it’s a call to action. The truth? The climate crisis is here, but the good news is we can be the solution. It’s time to stop talking about change and start driving it. No more sitting on the sidelines. No more “one day” thinking. It’s time to step up.
The race to 1.5°C is on
Climate change isn’t waiting, and neither can we. On April 4, 2022, 195 governments signed off on the IPCC Working Group III report, Climate Change 2022: Mitigation of Climate Change. The verdict? To limit global warming to 1.5°C, while global greenhouse gas emissions need to peak by 2025 and drop by at least 43% by 2030.
So, how do we make that happen? By tackling some of the biggest challenges in sustainability:
- Ramp up clean energy: By 2050, all electricity generation needs to be low-carbon.
- Revolutionise transport: Cities must shift to zero and low-carbon transport or emissions could soar by 50% by 2050.
- Decarbonise industry: Clean tech, sustainable materials, and smarter processes are the way forward.
- Rethink buildings: Climate-friendly materials, energy codes, and green tech can slash emissions.
- Protect nature: Restoring forests, cutting food waste, and safeguarding carbon-rich ecosystems.
Our sustainability commitment
At Corporate Traveller, we know actions speak louder than words. That’s why we’re ditching plastic, cutting unnecessary waste, recycling electronics, reducing office emissions, and offsetting carbon footprints.
Are we perfect? No. Are we committed? Absolutely. Sustainability is a collective responsibility, and we’re stepping up.
Don't lead by lip service, lead by example
When it comes to environmental sustainability, real change happens when you lead by example. That’s why we’re improving our technology and developing smarter reporting tools to help businesses make real, impactful changes.
Here’s how we’re stepping up:
- Smarter tech, better choices: We’re building tools that help businesses track, manage, and reduce their travel footprint.
- Data that drives change: Our reporting tools give you the insights you need to make informed, sustainable decisions.
- Expert guidance: We’re here to help you review travel policies, build communication plans, and create an actionable sustainability strategy.
- Innovation that listens: We take feedback seriously, constantly tweaking, improving, and investing in tools that make travel smarter, greener, and easier.
Got an idea? Need something we don’t have (yet)? Let us know. If we can reimagine, refine, or rebuild, we will. Because sustainability isn’t a one-and-done, it’s an ongoing commitment.
Putting us to the test
Your values. Your sustainability goals. Your ideal suppliers. We connect the dots.
When Blackmores, Australia’s leading natural health company, rolled out a supplier code of conduct, we rose to the challenge. With sustainability and community at their core, they needed travel partners who shared their vision. And that’s exactly what we delivered.
Looking for suppliers who align with your sustainability goals? We’ll help you find the perfect fit.
We're a values-based business, and we strive to make a positive difference to the world. But we're limited in our impact if our suppliers aren't doing it too. Our code takes a holistic view and considers key values such as employee conditions, community, ethics and sustainability. Our investors, our consumers and the community expect us to behave and operate with integrity, and the consequences can be significant if we don't.”
- Gemma Edwards, Category Manager Indirects @ Blackmores
Ruth Ford, head of customer success for Corporate Traveller Australia, explained,
“When the Blackmores team first spoke to us about the Code, we were excited straight away. In our assessment, we were able to demonstrate how Corporate Traveller cares about treating people well. We showed how we give back to the community, we talked a lot about ethics and good governance, as well as our commitment to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact. Caring about people is in our culture, so working on the Code and answering all of the questions was a task we really believed in.”
We understand it can be daunting to undertake something as big as sustainability. There is a lot to learn, a lot to do, and a lot of room for improvement. But as Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” Take that first step with us.
Let’s make sustainable travel easy for a better, cleaner future. See how Corporate Traveller can help you reduce your footprint without the fuss.
