World Golf Competition Co-Founder Jon Kerr said The Competition had seen passionate golfers seeking a new challenge and those keen to indulge in high class travel, dining and accommodation sign up for the inaugural round that would tee off in February 2025.

“The World Gold Competition is like nothing the golfing world has seen before – to give amateur players the opportunity to experience the life of a Top 100 Professional, combined with luxury services and played on golf courses they wouldn’t otherwise have access to is unheard of,” Mr Kerr said.

“It’s an exciting time to be in golf, and this competition is bigger than just the game - we’re diving into the technology, culture, fashion and lifestyle that underpins the true, modern golfing experience, to give players the full experience.

“Our competitors live and breathe golf – they’re out on the course at least twice a week, and many of them dream of testing themselves against a high-class global field.

“It’s an inclusiveness that’s not usually found in sporting competitions, and amateur golfers can be at the fore of it. Nothing like this currently exists, and winning The Competition would be completely life changing.”

The World Golf Competition is offering a USD5 million prize pool, including three ambassadorships to selected participants in the event, who will be named in November 2025.

“We’re incredibly proud to have cemented relationships with high quality, best-in-breed partners such as Corporate Traveller, which allow the player to indulge in the full experience – from the clubs, course, outfits, transport, accommodation, travel and more,” Mr Kerr said.

“What’s required to execute the competition is quite frankly a massive global travel logistical challenge – which is why we know Corporate Traveller with their years of experience and high customer satisfaction scores are the team for the job – they have a strong track record of delivering a seamless, full-service experience for travellers, and that’s exactly what this competition needs.”

Players will compete across the world’s most exclusive courses, including Te Arai Golf Club, New South Wales Golf Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Whistling Straits Golf Course, Terre Blanche Golf Course, Carnoustie Golf Links, Gleneagles Golf Resort, Marco Simone Golf & Country Club and Sentosa Golf Club, and hundreds more.

The partnership tee’d off with an exclusive limited-invitation corporate golf day event at The New South Wales Gold Club on Tuesday 27 February. Prizes of up to $25,000 were on offer.
