Can you describe a moment when your travel expertise saved a client time, money, or major stress? One of my clients experienced rapid growth in a short space of time, so being able to pivot to their travel needs was key as they grew. I made sure we could quickly adapt to their new structure, providing training across multiple formats to their bookers and travellers, ensuring their accountants weren’t spending hours reconciling, and making sure the customer could easily report on any aspect of their business at any given time.

Can you describe a moment when your travel expertise saved a client time, money, or major stress? A standout moment in my career was during the unexpected Qantas grounding. My 2IC and I immediately stepped in, working late into Saturday night to personally contact and re-accommodate our affected customers. By proactively securing alternative travel arrangements, we not only reduced their stress but also saved them from long wait times on hold with the airline. It was a powerful reminder of the impact genuine support can have during moments of disruption.

Favourite thing about Brisbane? The lifestyle. Brisbane has this relaxed, easy pace, but still has everything you need, including good food, great weather, and a sense of space. It’s a city that’s constantly growing but still feels welcoming.

What's a quick insider tip for business travellers coming to Brisbane for the first time? Stay close to the river as it cuts your travel time in half. The CBD, Howard Smith Wharves, South Bank, and Fortitude Valley are all walkable from there, so you can avoid peak-hour traffic and squeeze in a coffee or two along the way.

What's a little-known advantage of working with a travel management company in Brisbane? You get real people who genuinely know the local market, not just a call centre. Just keep in mind that prices can skyrocket during major sporting or music events, so it’s best to book early.
