Important information for guests travelling from Melbourne Domestic Airport
The Virgin Australia check-in area at Melbourne Domestic Airport is currently undergoing an upgrade to the check-in and baggage drop facilities. The upgrade is part of the airline’s comprehensive redevelopment of its domestic terminal at Melbourne Airport to streamline and dramatically enhance the check-in experience for Virgin Australia’s guests flying from T3.
During this time, self-service kiosks will not be in use, and as a result, check-in and baggage drop will only be available at a select number of service counters and may result in some congestion at the airport.
During this construction period, we ask that all guests follow instructions from the Virgin Australia Ground Crew members and any signage in the area. It is also recommended that guests:
- Check-in online prior to proceeding to the airport (even if travelling with checked baggage); and
- Arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your flight to drop checked baggage
