Ruth joined Corporate Traveller in March 2019, with over 21 years of travel industry experience, nine of which have been dedicated to account management. She has worked for both Campus Travel and FCM Travel Solutions in senior account management roles and also has extensive experience in managing large travel programs. With her strategic background Ruth will be working to bring a new level of insight to the travel programs of Corporate Traveller clients, while also overseeing the account management team. With her in depth knowledge Ruth will also be focusing on business planning, customer retention and maximising business growth.
Ruth’s best advice for corporate travellers?
Use technology to your advantage. I use apps for everything when travelling so I can be as productive as possible on the go. I couldn't be without my CT Travel App and my reminders to keep me on track! Oh and a good pair of noise cancelling headphones are worth their weight in gold.
Can you share an insight into corporate travel?
Ensure your travel policy is aligned to your organisational goals in relation to travel, and that you actively review this to ensure relevancy. An easily accessible visual representation of the key elements for a traveller is helpful and manages expectations. Share the travel policy and information about how to book travel as part of induction for new employees, to ensure compliance from day one.
How many countries have you travelled to?
29 - I'm originally from the UK and wish I had travelled more around Europe when it was on my doorstep! But as a new mum with a one year old who has already travelled internationally – my next destinations are likely to be Canada and Fiji.
